A message from Club President Rick Reynolds:

 

I want to thank each of you who have had a part in making Elite Elevation a success in its first year of existence.  Our first season was a learning period and a great opportunity to help the volleyball community grow and expand.  The success has been seen in that we have several freshmen starting or playing important roles for local high schools, players from our 18's team playing bigger roles for their respective high schools this year, and one of our graduates, Bernadette Pitre, is a starting middle for CSU-Pueblo.  

 

At this time, Elite Elevation will not be having any teams for the 2008-2009 Club season.  This was a decision that had to be made due to a lack of committed leadership to the mission of Elite Elevation in Grand Junction. 

 

I want to thank Amelia Conner for all of your help as we created something special for the student-athletes of the Western Slope.  I want to thank Denise Potterton, Dave Fleming, and Dave Walck for supporting Elite Elevation.  I want to thank my family for allowing me the time to make Elite Elevation what it is.  I would like to thank all of the coaches who gave their time to help make last season a success.  Finally, I want to thank the players and parents for making Elite Elevation a quick success and allowing us to train your athletes.

 

I encourage each of you looking for a club home to research the programs available and make the best choice for you and your family.  I believe there are several quality programs that provide good coaching and great opportunities for you.  Choosing a club is difficult.  If any of you would like to discuss options available, feel free to contact me at rreynolds@wwcc.wy.edu. 

 

I look forward to watching the volleyball community on the Western Slope grow.  I am sorry that Elite Elevation will not be able to be a part of this growth this season.
